Those Silly Jacobins

I dunno what made me think of it today -- but those Silly Jacobins -- I've always lamented this B.C.E. and C.E. crap as total hogwash and inappropriate for any History class, and suggested that if they didn't want to use the Gregorian or the Julian calendars that they use some other form of keeping track of time. During the French Revolution, they decided that one of the last remaining embedded ideas of the pre-Revolution was the Calendar system, designed by 'the man' to keep people down -- you can use that link above to see what things would have been like had they not turned out differently ;-)
